Next Steps Guide

NEXT STEPS TABLE

As the Team Lead for the Next Steps Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the welcoming and support of all first-time guests and any individual making next step in their life with Jesus on Sunday morning. Your role is crucial in helping individuals take their next steps in their faith journey.

“We take our spiritual next steps and encourage other to do the same”

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the set up of the next steps table, growth track area (including signage) and baptisms when necessary.

  • Familiarity with Campus and Resources: You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of our campus' service times, staff team, upcoming events, and facility. This knowledge will enable you to proactively engage with guests and provide accurate and relevant information about weekend services, modern groups, growth track, and events.

  • Guest Engagement and Assistance: Your primary goal is to identify first-time guests and provide them with exceptional support. This includes answering their questions, giving tours of the facility, and offering assistance in any way necessary. By personally escorting guests to their destinations, you will ensure they have everything they need and address any inquiries they may have.

  • Team Management: As the Team Lead, you will oversee the Next Steps Team and coordinate their activities. This involves setting expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a positive team environment. You will ensure that team members are prepared for service, attend the Dream Team Rally, and are equipped with the necessary resources and supplies.

You will familiarize yourself with the available amenities and ministry areas, such as Modern Kids, Coffee Table, Restrooms, Growth Track, Mother's Room, and Dream Team Central. By leading conversations with phrases like "I don't think I've met you yet" and "How can I help you?", you will make guests feel welcomed and supported. Additionally, you will provide physical resources, assist with registrations for conferences, Small Groups, and Growth Track, and avoid pointing or shouting directions when guiding guests to their desired locations.

  • Post-Service Responsibilities: After the service concludes, you will ensure that your serve area is clean and free of debris or personal items, leaving it in better condition than you found it. You will continue to assist guests, bid them farewell, and distribute resources such as Salvation Books, New Guest Gifts, and Pens. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the Information area is wiped down, devoid of debris, and fully stocked for the next Sunday.
